VBF Ninja is a professional Windows desktop utility for working with VBF calibration and module files — built for tuners, file service providers, and calibration shops who need fast, reliable VBF-to-BIN workflows without the guesswork.

Load a VBF file and immediately see its header data, software part number, calibration ID, controller family, block layout, ECU address, and checksum status. Export clean BIN output, batch-process entire folders in the background, or repack modified BIN data back into VBF format — all from a focused, production-ready interface.

What VBF Ninja Does

VBF → BIN Export
Smart header-aware parsing and address mapping produces true BIN output — not a raw dump. Handles compact files, low-address files, sparse high-address calibration layouts, SBL/bootloader VBF files, and generic VBF containers across Ford, JLR, Mazda, Volvo-style, and other VBF-based platforms.

Batch Folder Export
Select a folder of VBF files and export all of them to BIN in one pass. Runs in the background while the app stays responsive. Per-file results show software part number, controller/family, block count, BIN size, checksum status, output filename, and success or failure.

BIN → VBF Repack
Rebuild modified BIN data back into VBF format with internal checksum correction applied automatically when a supported module is active. VBF Ninja clearly shows checksum status at every step — CS available before a BIN is loaded, CS active once a BIN is inspected, and a detailed post-repack confirmation showing exactly how many checksum values were corrected and how many bytes changed.

SW Part Number and Calibration ID Detection
Software part numbers and Ford calibration IDs are instantly detected. Useful for file organization, logging, and cross-referencing calibration builds against known baselines.

Checksum Coverage

VBF Ninja includes internal checksum correction modules for:

• Ford 6.7L Powerstroke ECM — 2011–2025, all supported model years (Bosch EDC17CP05, EDC17CP65, MD1CP006, MD1CP062)
• Ford 6.7L Powerstroke TCM — Siemens UTCU2 — 2011–2016 (BC3A–GC3A)
• Ford 6.7L Powerstroke TCM — Siemens UTCU3 — 2017–2022 (HC3A–NC3A
• Ford 6.7L Powerstroke TCM — Vitesco UTCU4 — 2023–2025 (PC3A, RC3A)

When a checksum module is active, VBF Ninja shows CS Module Available when a supported VBF is loaded and CS Active once a BIN is loaded and inspected. Correction is applied automatically during repack, and the result is confirmed in the status bar. When no module is available, the app clearly shows No CS module — the file can still be exported and repacked, but internal checksum correction is not applied.

Ford TCM and ECM testing covers model years 2011 through 2025. Coverage may vary by file source, software version, controller variant, and VBF layout.

Broad VBF Support — Clear Checksum Boundaries

VBF Ninja can load, inspect, export, and repack a wide range of VBF containers beyond the checksum-supported families. This includes files from Ford, JLR, Mazda, Volvo-style platforms, SBL/bootloader files, module support files, and many unconventional VBF layouts with valid header data. Controller families detected from header metadata are identified and displayed even when no checksum module exists for them.

For files outside supported checksum families, VBF Ninja will show No CS module. Exporting and repacking still works — you're just responsible for verifying checksums with your own tools before use.

Licensing and Installation

VBF Ninja includes a lifetime, single-PC license with no subscription required.

Activation is completed inside the app using your PC ID and requires an internet connection for server-side license verification. VBF Ninja ships as a signed Windows MSI installer with a signed application executable for a cleaner Windows installation experience.
