DTC Toolbox has always been about giving professional calibrators a clean, confident workflow. With this release, we're formalizing the edition structure, expanding checksum coverage, and shipping a more polished experience across the board.

If you've been with us since the early builds, you'll recognize the core DNA — but nearly everything around it has been rethought. From the definition database to the activation system to the feature split between editions, this release draws a clear line between what DTC Toolbox was and what it's become.

Three Editions, One Tool

Rather than a single monolithic purchase, DTC Toolbox now ships in three well-defined tiers. Whether you're doing occasional edits or running a full professional calibration shop, there's an edition built for your workflow.

Lite
$60 Lifetime
  • BIN file loading & ECU detection
  • Full DTC edit & save workflow
  • Undo / redo
  • Modified row highlighting
  • Signed & encrypted database
  • Lifetime activation, one PC
Standard
$99 / Year
  • Everything in Lite
  • Integrated hex viewer
  • Presets & quick actions
  • Multi-row editing
  • WinOLS CSV / Table CSV / XDF export
  • J2534 helper support

Lite is a true lifetime purchase — no subscription, no refresh clock, no surprises. Standard and Pro run on annual licenses with cloud activation and an offline refresh countdown built into the app, so you always know where you stand.

Checksum Coverage Expanded

Pro edition ships with integrated checksum support across a wide range of ECU families. Coverage includes automatic status checking on load and one-click correction on save — no external tools, no manual calculations.

Note

Checksum support applies to specific file structures, software variants, and calibration layouts within a listed family. Not every file from a supported ECU is guaranteed covered. If you have an unsupported variant, send it over — we validate and add coverage in updates.

ECU Definition Coverage

The definition database ships signed and encrypted with support across five OEM groups. Detection is automatic — load a BIN file and the app identifies the ECU family and loads the corresponding DTC table.

Security & Activation

The definition database is signed and cryptographically verified on every load. Standard and Pro use secure cloud activation with an offline refresh countdown — the app works offline within the allowed period and shows you exactly how much time remains before a refresh is needed.

Lite is lifetime activated to a single licensed PC via HWID binding. No cloud dependency, no annual clock. Pay once, use it.

Your licensed name displays in the app header. When sending your HWID, specify the name you'd like shown — otherwise we'll use your first name from the order.

Requirements

DTC Toolbox requires 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11. No additional runtimes or dependencies required.
