A snapshot stores the original supported DTC data from the loaded calibration, giving you a reference point for the file before editing begins.

Create reusable presets, perform faster repetitive edits, inspect files with the integrated hex viewer, export supported definitions to WinOLS A2L or CSV, convert supported XCAL/VBF containers to compact BIN, and access the integrated OBD Scanner with J2534 support.

Standard can load, edit, and save supported XCAL and VBF files while rebuilding the applicable container checksum or CRC data required to preserve the supported container structure.

Software Version & File Support

Each ECU and TCM family can contain many different software versions, revisions, file containers, and calibration layouts.

Support can vary based on:

Depending on the licensed edition, DTC Toolbox automatically checks the loaded supported BIN, XCAL, or VBF file against its installed definition database and supported dynamic detection methods.

Lite accepts supported BIN files only. Standard and Pro additionally support compatible XCAL and VBF calibration containers, compact BIN conversion, and WinOLS A2L/CSV export workflows.

Current Ford definition coverage includes select MG1 ECU applications and select UTCU2, UTCU3, and UTCU4 TCM applications. Supported file formats and available workflow features remain edition-dependent.

If you encounter an unsupported software version or file layout, use the integrated Support Center and attach the original calibration file.

The file can be reviewed for potential inclusion in a future definition update.
