WinOLS OLSX Projects
Turn your original calibration into a fully organized, ready-to-tune WinOLS project containing thousands of defined maps.
Each project is custom-built around your original calibration file. Instead of spending hours searching for maps, defining tables, determining dimensions, configuring axes, and organizing calibration data, you receive a complete WinOLS project prepared for calibration work.
Supported source formats include BIN, VBF, and XCAL where applicable.
You can browse our current projects here - WinOLS OLSX Projects
Before Ordering
If you are unsure whether your calibration is supported, contact us before purchasing with as much of the following information as possible:
- ECM/controller type
- Vehicle year
- Vehicle application
- Engine
- Calibration/OS number, if known
- Original BIN, VBF, or XCAL file if available
We can verify your file and available project coverage before the project is created.
Available map counts vary by controller and calibration. Supported files may contain thousands to tens of thousands of defined maps, and the available map count can be confirmed before ordering.
What You Receive
Your custom project includes:
- Thousands of defined calibration maps
- Your original calibration loaded as the project base
- Defined table dimensions
- Organized WinOLS project structure
- Editable calibration maps
- Hexdump access
- Clipboard support for copying and pasting calibration data
- Ability to create and maintain your own modified versions
- Ability to compare calibration changes
- Ability to export your completed calibration
The completed project is delivered as an OLSX file for EVC WinOLS 5.
Full Calibration Editing
These are not read-only projects.
You can open the supplied project in WinOLS and perform normal calibration work. Defined maps remain editable, allowing you to build, modify, compare, and maintain your own tune versions directly inside the project.
Hexdump access remains available, and clipboard functionality is enabled so calibration data can be copied and pasted between WinOLS, spreadsheets, and other tools as part of your normal workflow.
When your calibration is complete, you can export the modified calibration from WinOLS.
Depending on the original file format and your WinOLS configuration, supported exports may include a standard BIN as well as compatible container formats such as VBF or XCAL.
Protected Project Definitions
Each project is individually protected before delivery.
The OLSX is configured to remain fully usable for normal calibration work while restricting selected project-development and definition-transfer functions.
You can:
- Edit calibration values
- View and work with the defined maps
- View the hexdump
- Copy and paste calibration data
- Create tune versions
- Compare calibration changes
- Save your work
- Export your completed calibration in supported formats
At the same time, selected functions used to extract, transfer, or redistribute the underlying WinOLS project definitions are restricted.
This includes functions such as:
- WinOLS project export
- Map-pack export
- Map-structure transfer
- Map-content transfer
- Other selected project-definition transfer functions
The project is assigned to the WinOLS Customer Number provided with your order and is additionally protected with an individual project password.
How It Works
After ordering, send us:
- Your original file that you plan to use — BIN, VBF, or XCAL
- Your WinOLS Customer Number
- Your name and order number
We verify your file, build the WinOLS project around the supplied original calibration, configure the customer-specific project protection, and provide the completed OLSX along with your individual project password.
Your project is prepared specifically for the calibration you submit.
Important
Whenever possible, the submitted file should be the true original, unmodified calibration.
Projects are created for the exact software/calibration submitted. Different software versions, operating systems, ECM families, controller revisions, or calibration revisions may require a separate project.
This service does not include a modified tune.
The delivered project uses your original calibration as its base.
No tuning changes are made to the calibration.
You receive the defined WinOLS project environment so that you can perform your own calibration work.
Why Use a Defined WinOLS Project?
Building a large WinOLS project manually can require extensive map searching, definition work, axis configuration, scaling, organization, and validation.
With this service, the definition work has already been completed.
Instead of beginning with an unidentified calibration file, you can start with thousands of organized and defined calibration maps and focus directly on the calibration work itself.
This can save a significant amount of project-development time for experienced WinOLS users.
Ideal for:
- Professional calibrators
- Tuning shops
- Calibration development
- Research and comparison
- Custom tuning projects
- Experienced WinOLS users
Requirements
You must have a compatible, licensed installation of EVC WinOLS 5.
You will be required to provide the WinOLS Customer Number for the installation that will be used with the project.
The supplied OLSX and project password are intended for the original purchaser and assigned WinOLS Customer Number.
